A corneal load to test…

I tried a cornmeal round to see if it would have any cleansing effects on the bore. It did not, lol. I loaded about 7 gr. Red Dot in basically a .45 Colt case (cyl. length .460 S&W actually), a tuft of paper towel, then packed cornmeal, topped with a button of hot glue. Burnt my fingers trying to flatten it flush!

At 10 ft. the plastic button looked like a pretty dangerous projectile. The meal disintegrated with a few compacted flecks that looked like pear tree petals. You might note them off to the right in the middle picture. My “Cream of Wheat” is more substantial and was unavailable. I want to try that.
