Reeder Custom Guns - Pronghorn antelope

Good Afternoon all:

I have been cogitating over a few things. This June I will hit 60. In my youth I never thought of age as I suspect many do not.

I am still in decent shape and intend to get into something better.

I want to go on a pronghorn antelope hunt. I did so in 1993 with a guide and large group but for some reason never got around to doing so again.

I am thinking of putting in for some points to hunt either in Colorado, Wyoming or Montana in two or three years.

Now I am not sure what state and zone would be my best choice. There are so many factors.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Nancy hunted with this outfitter and took pronghorn, mule deer and a cow elk. Rick and Amy Kasper are the owners and they put on a great hunt with lots of pre hunt tag help.

-Referendum to bring in Canadian wolves to one of the best elk and deer areas of the state.
-Aurora-Colorado Springs-Denver have become excrement holes due to drugs and gang activity.

its right across the border from Montana, so I imagine the goat hunting south and west of Dillon should be good. Western Wyoming had a terrible winter a few years back and lost most of the the deer and antelope in a few of the good counties, hopefully it is on the increase by now, but hard to find trophy grade stuff

A former co-worker said that some areas of the state had an 80% die off due to the severity of the winter.

I will have to explore the areas you talked about.

Again I am thinking of doing this in say two or three years. Kind of a big trip for myself.

Colorado`s gone down the shitter...

I'm completely flummoxed over Colorado.

they do pretty well up in central Idaho around Leadore,

Wyoming got hit hard two or so years ago.

New Mexico is a good choice for very large horns.
