I got to shoot Jim’s .480 Achilles. He was very gracious and it’s is a super pleasing piece. Superb trigger and action, a very attractive gun. The wormy grips are very curious. Jim has the ammo all figured out, 295 gr. heeled bullet with 6 gr. Unique, I think that’s what he said. He figured about 800 fps, and very accurate. I hit several gong plates to a respectable distance. My misses were attributed to my mis-sighting with the sun glaring on the thin shiny front sight and kind of narrow notch rear. But the gun and load is fine! The empty cases look like thin rimmed .45 ACP.
Jim, what’s that boys name with that other one? I forgot his name, long beard?!
