Got to figure my “two” carry guns to take to the city. Need a “pocket” carry and a larger tactical just in case. My wife took over the M60 .38, my SP101 is just too heavy. I pine for a M638 or 637.

Take the heavier gun and use suspenders ..

Your backup gun should be larger than your carry gun. If you need it you are gonna NEED IT!

Really like my Kimber K6S

Kinda' flat with hexagonal cylinder and 6 shots in .357 caliber.

I’ve admired those. Innovative and modern

While showing some quality. Unlike that Ruger monstrosity, however good it works. I like the little Airweight Smiths. I also have a 90 yr. old Colt Pocket Positive. It’s a peach. I just need to get it out of the safe. A 6-shot .32 Long. I even have a HKS speed-loader for it!

I did some good shooting at the CSA event with my 686+ 4”. It’s a great full size carry gun. I don’t have a 7-shot speed-loader for it yet. I’ll get one. A good belt and holster make all the difference. Jim’s right, I can use some suspenders!

"Monstrosity"?

Just for clarification, what's the measurement across the Kimber K6S's cylinder flats compared to the full diameter of the SP101's round cylinder? ;-)

Taurus made one too, plastic frame, crude cylinder

I had a very rude first experience with a LCR in .38 Special. Stoked with plus P’s. Looks and felt like it cost about $75 to make but going rate is $500. It’s molded plastic, stamped sheet, and some CNC.

Light, yes. Functional, well yes very. A likeable value? I’m not there, yet. Maybe if I fall into a deal on one in .327. I’ll sure give it another shot. But beside a J-frame from last century for same money, I’m struggling.

I admit the Kimber is weird too. But in a curious way. I’ve never tried one, and it’s a six shot, like a Colt? I’d like to shoot one some. Range time with the SP101 is great, even with moderate .357’s! But it’s heavier than a loaded Glock 19, it seems to me. The search continues.
