Some hasty .45 Paradox loading…

I was about to go nuts wanting some rounds to shoot. I Alox’d some .451 RB and tried double balls. Three won’t fit flush. Just a test of concept. I might add some hot glue atop the ball as it might pull the bullet in recoil, maybe.

The pistol “Wonder Wads” store bought are actually pretty expensive IF you could find them. A little ingenuity will make you a lifetime supply for cheap.

I placed a cardboard wad atop 6 gr. Unique and the treated felt lube wad and two 138 gr. deep seated balls. This should be interesting…

Yeah, 276gr of lead over 6gr Unique . . .

. . . loaded "deep seated" should be . . . interesting. :-D

By odd chance that is almost perfectly the same as Jim's

.480 Achilles load, which runs 800 fps. No room for that third ball. The weight gets goofy there too. This I knew is a lighter load. I used to shoot 8+ grs. in .45 Colt with a 250, which were easy shooting.

Haha! Maybe I should have said “I have the original load data but Bowen, which describes in detail the pitfalls and recommendations that are particular to these guns”.
I’m happy to scan and send it along if you are interested :)
