My first Anaconda I bought back when they first came out. I shot it so much the ejector rod kept coming loose so I sold it. I would *NOT* say it could digest a steady Redhawk-level diet. Think of it more like a 629. I later bought a 6" 45 Colt, and I still have that one. I do *NOT* shoot Redhawk level loads in that one either. I save those for my Redhawk. Now I see where Colt(CZ?) or whoever they are now have brought back the Anaconda in 45 Colt, saying it is in the "Kodiak family," whatever that means. My older Anaconda is nice, and more of a safe-queen these days than a weekend shooter. If you want to shoot nuclear level loads, stick with Ruger, IMO and my $.02. YMMV
