Next level Paradox revolver play...

I had good success with the duplex ball loads. Two 138 gr. pure lead lubed round balls with card and lube wads underneath. The payload, say 275 grs. was running about 850 fps and very useful. But it would only hold two balls, lots of wasted space.

I remembered Puffy had me load up some 3.5" 10 gauge loads for him. Each held (15) .350 round balls. Again stacked like clovers there was a lot of air space. So I filled the spaces between with #9 shot! Boy did that help! 2.25 oz. at 1400 fps using Longshot. It put all 15 pellets and a haze of birdshot on a feed sack at 30 yds. Puffy called them "Rhodesian Loads".

So I figure to fill the paradox load empty space with shot and top with a thin card wad and hot glue. It seems to hold about (30) #5 shot pellets that weigh around 50 grs. collectively. Keeping the load the same I figure maybe a 25-50 fps increase in velocity. Still a safe loading. How useful I will find out. I guess having shot in front is best anyway. It makes an interesting load.

The photo has two 0.530 balls for visual effect. I loaded 0.451" balls. With all that flying about you are bound to hit something.
