No. Not by itself. I had to accompany it. I had a little time this morning and wanted to get the sights close.

I tried to hold the same POA for all the different bullets and loads. The 6 gr. of 700X was the lightest load. That particular bullet has been accurate in all the guns I have fired it in.

I'd say you were there! I've never used 700x. Is it spherical? I might be able to stumble upon some old Green Dot but I've not seen it in a while on the shelf.

Shotgunners used to use it a lot. I like Red Dot myself, for 3/4 oz. 12 ga. sleeper loads. (16.5 grs. is frugal too) The short shot column has very little chance to deform pellets and it's basically a 20 ga. load, low recoil. Less chance of me getting a headache after trying to hang with my scattergun buddies. With a 25# bag of #9, I can load 100 more 12 bore loads over a full 1 oz. payload.

works well in handgun loads ... I don't hotrod it ... standard velocity loads and is accurate.

It came in tins like Hershey's Cocoa or Tea used to come in. A cardboard tin with metal top, a round hole and cover that mashed into it. I think I bought (8) tins of it for $3.50 each. I shot it mostly in .38,.357,.44 Mag. and .45 Auto. Sort of like Unique level loads.

If I remember right I had to go back to a 1960's Lyman manual to get useful load data. The flakes were square!

I think 700X came in cans like that years ago ..
