It would be a fantastic day for casting but I'm in my new position, the weekend was filled with honey-do's. I'll steal a couple hours one evening this week. I need some 295 gr. .451 Paradox projectiles. I really think some conventional SWC would work fine. The empty lube grooves should be a good place for displaced metal to migrate.

This specialized application you use an under bullet lube wad. No lube on bullets but I may powder coat for fun. New tech that Seyfried didn't have back then. Shooting a .45 from a .44 with a 3" "Taylor" throat (and no cylinder throats) is crazy to me. I'm still mesmerized at the concept. It makes me re-think everything...

The grooves are now used for metal displacement like a homogeneous brass or bronze projectile. Ditto the shallow wide mid groove. (I read the bullet can break at this point) But I can't see why an unlubed 300 gr. SWC wouldn't do about the same.
