It shows the velocity as 100 fps more than later versions. It was truly brutal in recoil. I had a gun failure that GNR took care of, even though it probably was no manufacturing fault. It was factory ammo back then, just too hot.

I remember back in the 1990's Seyfried and LB were taking .45-70 brass and modding it, reaming, cutting, trimming rims to clear pawl gears. Then they did the .50! It was an exciting wild time.

There was no factory ammo when I started with it. I made mine from .45-70 brass just as John told me to.

Factory ammo and brass were nice when they came along, but I always preferred my own home-made stuff.

There was no factory brass or ammo when I started playing with the 475 Linebaugh.
