Roman, my oldest, and against my best urging (he is 26?!) ordered a fancy customized Glock (ish) pistol for $1100. Just had to have it. But the boy don't drink, or smoke, chase girls, so I'll not look a gift horse in the mouth. Plus, he can still sell it if he don't like it. Usually bailing out is at a minimal loss, if you manage it well.
I have several Glocks myself. They are good for what they are designed. I have even gone way off the reservation testing their limits and capabilities. For my satisfaction anyway, swapping calibers on a platform, even scoping and rigging for hunting. Really wild stuff. Having said that, most I own are basically stock platforms. So I'll run a little simple comparison. A Stock $600 G23 vs the tricked out $1100 Super Glock, and report back here. Sounds fun?
