Paradox shooting today. So far so good.

I wanted to sort of go by the book, Bowen and Seyfried. It’s all a bit of an experiment anyway. I thought it redundant to size the bullets, duh! But I cheated a little and coated them with an ultra thin Alox, much like a .22LR. The load was 20 gr. Lil’Gun (not H110 like the old masters used) for a bit less pressure. I inserted an over powder card wad and a lubed synthetic fiber wad under the bullet. I think I may need more lube to mimic the factory bought wool wads.

The velocity was spot on, 1150 fps. One more grain would be the 1200 fps goal. Plenty of capacity as there is about 1/8” air space left. Accuracy was good but the first round recoil surprised me and the hammer got me on the web of the hand. I can see the rig will work as described but I’d enjoy backing down to about 1000-1100 fps, that’s more than enough for the 300 gr. payload.

I have tests plans for shot cartridges, duplex rounds, and tri-plex (two balls and some shot pellets). Wild fun is where you make it.

Is that a 460 S&W case that you’re using? Second question, would a Rossi Brawler be a weaker, but similar (long jump to rifling)?
