LGS has a really nice “Smolt” on a M19 chassis

It’s a blue 4”. Stock looking Colt barrel and front sight. Ball crane lock, solid and tight timing with minimal cylinder gap and wobble. Really crisp. Even fancy 1980’s S&W factory finger groove combat stocks. Crap! Not sure who did the work but it’s a quality job.

Sure nothing I NEED! It could benefit from a top end blue job, but don’t look bad either. Would take a solid grand to take it home. I knew I should not have gone in there.

Pay once, cry once! JT

You lose the front locking detent on the ejector rod going to a Python barrel. The common solution (Brownells sells a kit) is to drill and install a spring ball and recess in the crane arm and frame. That, in itself, demands notable skill. Then the barrel threads are different.
