I’ve had head separations, loose primer pockets, shoulder splits. Minimal resizing helps but just backing down a smidge is the number one aid. I had a .224 Harvey K-Chuck which is exactly the same except for shortening the neck to fit the K-frame. I had great fun with the Calhoun 30 gr. Double-HP. Fastest bullet I found and they expanded at handgun speeds. The .224-32FA was faster (40 gr. Nosler at 2150) but the rifle bullets don’t expand. You need light constructed varmint bullets.
There is a ratio of bullet to case diameter in necking down. What will function without setting back and locking up with difficult extraction. GNR has that pretty much figured out. Many cool ideas just don’t work out. The .256 Win. on the .357 case was too much, but the .257 on the .32 H&R/.327 is workable.
That’s a whole lot of gun for a 5-shot .22, it must weigh a ton.
