Soulless plastic “modern” wonders.
The first picture is a Shadow Systems 9mm, made in the USA. Basically it’s a Glock 19 (other pic is my 23 with 9mm barrel in it) that you got out your check book and literally replaced every Glock part on the 19 with the latest and greatest accessory part. Effectively throwing the original in the trash. My son paid exactly the same for it as I did my last slightly used Freedom Arms 83 Premier .454. But he’s just tickled. Me, I’d still put my money on the five-shooter.

Is it better than a $600 Glock 19? (Made in Georgia) Worth over double? Well it shoots more accurate and lots easier. Reloads fast and you can hit a gong at 100 yds. with the fancy red dot sights. Depends on what you want I guess.

Another plastic wonder I’m playing with is the 5.7 FN. (They build them in Virginia?) I don’t dislike many guns, but I’m not really fond of this light but big platform. The bore axis is really high and it just handles funny. But I wanted to load some 5.7x28 for fun. Mr. Taffin never got to but mentioned it in his last book. All 5.7 platform guns seem really large to me. The new Keltec is an exception. But I’m having fun so far.
