Becoming a lefty is hard

I have been trying my best to becoming a left hand. My right eye is giving up on me. I have to wear a patch on my right eye all the time so that means if I am going to do any hunting in the future it will be as a lefty. I tried shooting as a lefty at the last HHC and that was a total flop even using my TC in 41 GNR. Shooting using my left eye but trying to hold the gun for a right eye hold just ain't getting it.
Also trying to teach myself to hold the gun for left eye is frustrating to say the least.
Even using my computer and left eye is driving me nuts. I have to get Colleen to get me set up to post anything on here. Having to depend upon someone else for the everyday things is enough to drive one crazy.
Thank the Lord Colleen is a gun person and can answer most gun questions at the shop. For those questions concerning GNR reloading data and such I can take care of them for her by calling me here at the house. For those that have had reloading questions or gun questions, I thank you for your patience.

You hang in there! It’s a good excuse to go shoot.

They even make this nifty $45 single cock pneumatic .177 pistol that you can practice with in the house or backyard. I put a scope on one. Shoots 1-1.5” at 25 yds. They sell them at most big stores. Air pistols are great fun. Go look.

Anyone around me for 5 minutes knows I have Divergent strabismus (exotropia), or in Latin “Walleyed”. My right (dominant eye) drifts to the right. It’s the one I’m inclined to shoot with and use for scopes. I’ve trained myself to use the left. Shotguns or rifles I’d be in the boat with you. But handguns I can manage. It’s not natural and I’m slower but keep at it. You get to learn shooting all over again!

I'm left handed, shoot handguns left handed, rifles right handed. Tried switching many times for fun and it was not easy. I didn't spend a lot of time trying. Gary, something out there needs to be "harvested" by you, so keep at it.

I’m just the rifle left handgun right. Left eye dominant.

with my left hand and catching it to work on coordination and dexterity. The more you work on the left hand, I think the more natural it will feel.
