after 50 years of shooting Contenders and having dozens of different barrels in all shapes and sizes my favorite caliber has been the .357 Maximum. Easy to load and shoot. Fav set up was a 12 inch TC barrel with the brake on it with a Leupold 2X scope and Gripper grips. Close second was a 12 inch SS 6mm TCU!
What's yours?

Mine is easy to find. Just open my latest

reloading manual (the blue one is the newest version). Start with the data for the 221 Falcon and goes for all the way to the 610 GNR. Those are my favorites.

Down to one caliber -30GNR

GNR is right! Like which of your kids is your favorite?

It changes. The "Contender", probably the 7mm GNR for me but the .30 GNR has more bullet choices and is basically the same thing but .30 cal.

Just pick a caliber and GNR has you covered.

Gary, is there a void? Was there one you didn't get to?

8mm GNR , 30 GNR, 41/401 GNR .

This past season I hunted Maine for deer and black bear with a 10" 44 magnum that Gary threaded. I used a Silencerco Suppressor.

That is now becoming a favorite.

I have thought about the 357 Maximum round in a 10 or 12 inch barrel but I am inclined towards a 350 Legend with a 12 inch barrel. In my area you can get 350 Legend ammunition all over the place.
