Not the beautiful gun Gary posted above. The cartridge! Smith & Wesson built the first December 15, 1955 and introduced it to the public Jan. 16, 1956.

In spite of there being more powerful handguns today, the .44 Magnum is still a top choice of many. It will do most anything that needs to be done with a sixgun.

My Dad usually loaded his down a bit, running the Keith SWC around 1100 - 1200 fps. I never saw a deer or a hog shrug it off.
