I played "Why don't we do it in the road" by the Beatles and "My Ding a ling" by Chuck Berry along with a lot more like those. Good ol' American songs.
A lot of the names were interesting....

Grand Funk got their name from the "Grand Trunk Railroad", changing the wording. Buffalo Springfield was the brand name of a pavement roller one band member noticed. REO Speedwagon was coined from a defunct brand of old service trucks.
If our old groups sold their souls for fame they were much more discrete than those today. One can notice a pattern of showing up with one blacked eye, a family member dying mysteriously, followed by a sharp uptick in popularity or skill. Published photos with strange hand signals etc. I'm not sure whats going on, but there are some odd forces at work. Once you start to notice the patterns it's hard not to notice. I miss the seemingly good old days.

calling. If that is so our young folks need to get their heads straight. The first I ever saw of that was at an AC/DC concert and everybody in the audience was doing that. And if so I hate that as I like AC/DC's music. Their Hiway to Hell was the first time I ever saw that in the audience.
