buy a new Burris 1.5x6x40mm with a ballistic reticial that can be illuminated by the turn of the side knob for about $380.00.Be sure to ck the reticial in the 1x6x40. I have 2 of these scopes and happy with them. I had the 1.5x5 and was not satisfied with light transmission.
DeLoss isn't that the rifle scope? The one they are showing

OOPS, I thought it was a rifle scope in the photo, and yes mine are rifle scopes. Thank You Gary for the correction.
In the past I have bought used Burris handgun scopes and

sent them back to Burris for their lifetime warranty. Now that is not available and they are phasing out their handgun scope line. Several other handgun scope companies are doing the same thing. Most of the scope companies are dropping the variable scopes and only build standard 2X scopes in the handgun line. I hate to see Burris do this as the handgun hunters are the company that made Burris what it is. Back in the early 80s Burris was making 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5x,7X, and 10X in their line up. They also made the 1 1/2 X 5, a 2 1/2 to 5, a 2 1/2 to 7X. This was great for handgun hunters. I snatched up every 3X, 7X and 2X7 variable.
It looks like things have changed at Burris. Money talks and Burris has thrown the handgun hunters under the bus. I still tend to favor Burris over all the rest but if another company comes along with a good line up of handgun scopes it is adios Burris.
It’s a sad situation for handgunners today

Finding a decent scope is like looking for a needle in a haystack anymore.
Crimson Trace makes a handgun scope. I've read good things

about them but have no personal experience. I think Mark Hampton wrote a fairly positive article about hunting with one but I may be mistaken that it was him. Their website notes they may not have any in stock.
I believe they discontinued it.

With little economical recourse, I started trying these cheap China scopes off Ebay. I was able to source some fixed power and even 2x-7X variable handgun models for about $50-60. My intention was to beat the whizz out them testing heavy kicking rounds. At that price point if they lasted even a bit, I was good. Out of 4-5 I bought only one had a malfunction (loose internal lens) and they replaced it for me. The optics have advanced so much over the years, industry wide, that they are probably as good as top models of a decade or two ago. Very crisp and clear with good light transmission as it gets dim.
*Never pass a deal on a Simmons 4X fixed handgun scope, new or used, they have lifetime transferable warranty. Or used to. I bought a couple crapped out used ones and they sent me new ones for only postage! They handle extreme recoil very well.
After I get my loads tested I put on a premium scope and sight in for hunting use.
