"RIGBY's LAST ROOSTER" anyone ever read this story

by Ross Seyfried? It was published in The Double Gun Journal in 1999. I always enjoyed his writings and he is largely responsible for my interest in big bore handguns. Sort of my "Al Goerg" to GNR's early inspiration. Of course as soon as I met Gary things were turned on ear, lol! I've never been the same since.

A fellow by the name of Hillis made this submission; His best article, "IMO, was entitled RIGBY'S LAST ROOSTER, in which he related the last days of his Lab, named Rigby. As I recall, he chose carefully the shotgun that he would use to shoot the last rooster pheasant that Rigby would ever flush for him. Rigby was much advanced in years and was nearing the end. He took him out for one last hunt, and regaled it in the article. I go back and reread it every few years. It is very, very good."

I found this intriguing and wondered if anyone had read this? I still cannot find any obituary for Ross and I think he's still around! Although he should be quite aged.

One in the hand (literally) is worth two in the bush! I note that Larry Farley took the photo as I see his TN orange cap in the reflection.
