I was reading Taffin's last book on small bores today. I dove off on the .25 cal. rifle section for some reason. Oh my, why are .250 Savage rifles so difficult to come by and expensive! Ditto for .257 Roberts and .25-35. They should make a few. I've shot the .250 some and tried to build a custom 98 in .257 Roberts improved. I failed, ended up with a 6mm Ackley, but that's' ok. I do have a .25-35 single shot, I make cases from .30-30 easy. Not to mention the fantastic handgun rounds; .255 Banshee, .257 Raptor, .256 Falcon, my .25 Herrett, and I'm just starting to mess with .256 Win. A good read.

I got to speak with Mr. Taffin on a few things personally. The .224-32FA and some .327 Fed. loadings. I sold him a couple things and bought some from him too. Bullet moulds too. Some good memories. What a loss of knowledge. His books are so minimal compared to the man.

We've lost so much in a generation
