One of th Misfits e-mailed me about guns I need
some work on. He said send the parts and a factory part and they will get it done for you.
Well it ain't that easy. I have sent one of our gripframes, along with a factory gripframe to 4 or 5 CNC shops who claim they can get it done for us and I never hear from then again. I am out around $2000 so far by sending parts to shops that say they will get it done for me. It's going to have to be a shop that I am friends with or that I know well.
Right now I have almost 100 frames that are out of the casting and just needing the CNC work. My problem is I have almost $60,000 in frames and gripframes that need the CNC work but nobody wants the job. Those frames are our standard frames and our stretch frames. The older fellow that used to do our CNC work and our manual work has passed away and I haven't found anyone to do the work. The work is minor, mainly the screw holes in the gripframes, the frames threaded for the barrels and the pin holes in the frames. But no matter how minor it is, if nobody wants to work it still holds us up.
