My friend Bob and I did a quick day hunt for hogs at Lightsey Family Ranch near Lake Placid Florida

We hunted from these swamp buggys

The food was exceptional!

Rooms were somewhat small but adequate with their own full bath

They had a nice sitting/TV area and dining room

the only real negative was they would only skin and quarter, no detailed butchering.

May go back for deer in the fall.

Looks like you two guys had a great time

which hog you could shoot. Did you get out and stalk or were the hogs shot from the buggy? All in all it looks like a really nice place to hunt for a day or two.

the questions people ask me when I recommend a hunting place. I have hunted on so many preserves and ranches all across this country that I have seen a lot of things that aren't the way they should be. Tennessee is loaded with preserves that are just after your money and don't care if you never come back.

hogs were $250 each for "meat hogs", shoot as many as you can afford. I shot from buggy, Bob got off to take his shot as it was under a palmetto bush. You could hunt "spot and stalk" if desired. We shot first hogs but am sure we could have "shopped" a little more.

just FYI, the hog was $250 and one night room and board (again excellent food) was $250; skin quarter hog was $40 cash direct to the guy with the knife. They filled our coolers with ice at no charge and had tea/coffee/lemonade and cookies available pretty much all day

There are a lot of places in Florida that

can offer a vacationing hunter opportunity. In the past, I have taken off to Florida for a week or so and come back with meat.
