here in Maine. This is one of the only northeastern states that allows all day hunting. Most states in the northeast have a cut off time at 12 noon or 1 PM.

The theory was that a hunted walking around in the PM would bump a nesting hen and she'd abandon the clutch.

I did not hear nor see birds but I ran into this little guy. I will be honest. I could smell him at a bit of a distance.

They are doing pretty well despite all the coyotes and bobcats. I found a hen sitting, so I hogged around her. Couple weeks she hatched out, I got the grass.

I only saw one Porky-pine, in Alaska! It was the size of a German Shepard cut off at the knees! It clanked when it moved. I don't think they see too good. George, let me get close for a good look. I did an Indian sneak on him to maybe 10 feet. He looked at me for a minute, figured I was a minor annoyance, and went on his way. It was a highlight of the trip. They have an odor?!

Yes they do have an odor. As a rule,

porkies sleep in their own poop.

Ok! No smooching on porky-pines.

I am willing to be that Gary is saying to himself that I spend too much time in the Maine woods. Need to get out to civilization more often.

No John. I envy you thr time you spend

I have a ton of images and videos that I have uploaded to Youtube. Especially the time I spent in Wyoming.

I truly miss the state, and I know I will go back for an extended visit in a year or so.
