I “nervous buy” guns. It’s not such a bad habit, non-fattening, and mostly harmless. I’ve had a long stressful period at work I think I’m past it now. I’ve been carrying a small Kahr P380 for a long time. Great little piece, I just find little excitement or inspiration. I do like the lite weight and flat profile. Great big-gun sights too, although I struggle to hit precise with it past 50 ft. Bunnies are pretty safe if they don’t move.
I’ve always like Jim’s S&W 340. Terrible premium over the same thing in .38 special. Irv too has a great collection of pocket revolvers. Quite diverse. I like to thumb my own hammer though, the hidden hammers are a bit of a mystery to me, although I understand the slick profile. The closest I’ve ever really wanted in “hammerless” (a misnomer) is a desired hump-back M638. So ugly I want one. Still eludes me. This weekend I found a used 360PD at a value online. I think I have it bought. Last Scadinum revolver I bought I said I wouldn’t get another. Fantastic to carry, forget you got it, but horrific to actually shoot. Straight back fast recoil, not like anything else. I ended up carrying 148 gr. full wadcutter .38 Specials. Those were still spicy! (BTW my wife still habitually carries her M60 Gary worked over)
But time heals and I want to be a cool Dadio. Roman lamented the last I sold, a semi-custom 360J, Japan police. I just threw caution, logic, and reason out the window and went with it. It is a little liberating.
