the S&W 317 .22 Long Rifle is a good choice. It doesn't weigh anything even fully loaded. 7 shots. And is kind of reminiscent of the first S&W cartridge revolver.
Some will cry "CALIBER" but 2 or 3 shots to the sinus cavities will deter most anything, even with a .22.
