I have quite the selection of home cast bullets available. I had an idea of casting the 200 gr. RCBS from plumbers soft lead, coating them, loading in .38 cases to .357 length at around 600-650 fps. I tried some of them in a hard alloy, shot well but recoiled like the devil in a small frame. I think the recoil impulse lasts lots longer than a 125 gr. higher velocity slap?! I could just blaze some 148 WC out at magnum speeds.
I did find some interesting “bonded” 125 gr. JHP for about $20/100 delivered. I may try some.
Price is for (250) not 500 as shown.

I’ve also been intrigued buy the hydraulic displacement of these exotic projectiles. Underwood loads a 120 gr. at 1700 fps! Not sure how that translates out of a short barrel but it sounds wild. $2.50 a shot. Bullets by themselves are $1 each. Interesting.

They have another for .32 auto and .327 etc. Would be cool for my 110 yr. old Colt Pocket Positive busting 1000 fps.
