The 300's are nice for extreme long-range fun. Don't have to run them hard. 1100 fps will reach more than a quarter mile accurately.

In the 454 I loaded some 340 gr. bullets at 780 fps or so. We shot it at targets at 500 yards and could make consistant hits on a 4 foot x 4 foot steel target. They took quite a long time to get there, but the crosswind did not bother them much at all.
