It shows great performance with what it basically a cast .38 Super projectile. W244 hits 1300+ fps with a plain base and moderate pressures. I've never noticed it before. The W571 is a bit more bulky and gets there too with notably less pressure than W244.
I bet it would be good for .44 Special and such too. My Hodgdon's book is not handy.
