In 19 days the Maine black bear season starts. I have so much on my plate with the cabin that I did not establish a good bait site.
Soooo. Plan B is to do the following:
1. A honey scent burn in a likely area. I have heard mixed reports on its efficacy.
2. Crank up the FoxPro E caller with some predator sounds. I may have called in a bear a while back with it but could not clearly ID the thing behind a shrub.
I do know there are bear on my land but they tend to pass through. Maybe I could set up some kind of bait site?
