WB what you trying to do find a substitute for a scope ? LOL
I use dot sights for both can't see the front sight on less than a 10 in barrel.
Its the dot size that matters, the race gun guys always used a 10 minute dot, it doesn't cover much at defense distances and is much faster to acquire.
for distance I use a 4 minute dot, both on my Ruger Target 22 and my 410 GNR, same sight, just different base.
They also make great sights on your scout rifle, no eye distance issues, add on sun screens for bright light
