Re-gassing optics with nitrogen themselves. Since it’s heavier than air you can expel it from a bulk tank into something like a good size trash bag. Holding the bag with nitrogen in the bottom and somehow scooping up the gas to displace common atmospheric air. Which contains nitrogen as well. The heavy gas keeps moisture out. Same for car tires, prevents internal degrading from the wet. But I think that a little gimmicky. Restoring a lovely old Weaver or Bushell on a cherished hunting rig, I can see that.

I once had a 1957 Marlin 336 RS in .35 Remington. It had a Weaver 6x 36mm with a pistol and crosshair. The old low slung Weaver “pivot mount” base with their rings worked great with just a little care. It would place (3) 200 gr. JRN into a 1” cluster from cold every time at 100 yds. I was loading the ammo with a Lee “tap,tap, - BANG” loader I bought for $7. Used 3031 I think. Great times and memories. That 6x was perfect for that platform, just enough past the common 4x32.
