Given Colt’s alliance with the Italians, I just wonder if much of those parts are not made by contractors? All U.S.? Maybe finished and fitted here? Mr. Taffin was pretty tight lipped on the subject. But they are devoid of foreign proof house stamping. How could they escape those if not produced in the US?
The little .22 Scouts sure looked like the Italian counterparts. At least the good ones. Astra made some guns for Colt, I think.
