And examination. But I have crap literally stacked. It’s obviously for the S&W revolvers which were indeed 6.5” back then, set up for a scope mounted as well. Goerg hunted with such a rig. The padded front area is obvious to cushion impacts to the scope. Whether an option, or added afterward I cannot say. Thought I’d share.
