the law is still there and could be brought back at their discretion. But this new head of the ATF seems to be on our side so at least right now it looks good. There are a couple of small "wrinkles" in the law but most of them have to do with traveling across state lines with the SBRs and SBSs. One bad item is they are leaving enforcement of this state law up to individual states. If your state has banned the short barrel rifles or short barrel shotguns, those laws may still be in effect.
All in all it looks good and a lot better than any previous laws.
