We recently got a copy of the new Cartridges of the world

and in it they mentioned the 45 Long Colt and how it came about. Page 488 in the new Cartridges of the World. So if anyone tells you there is no 45 Long Colt, tell them to look in the book. There were 2 references of the 45 Long Colt along with the confusing name 45 Colt Government which ended up also being called the 45 Short Colt.. So there you go.
