I paid around $1.50 each for what would normally be $10 each. No matter, I can load with a bully for dummies and sell for $5+ a pop! lol.
I’ll try a few for the educational challenge. I’ve read it’s not like steel whet you do a quench. The drawing hardens the molecules but they do have a heat treating process. What these brass are in that process and where they originated is still a mystery. They had fired primers in them and many do show bent and deformed rims, dented cases, and are devoid of the silvery blue typical annealing colors found on fresh brass. It’s a real mystery where they came from. I’m sure someone was picking through junk, possibly factory refuse and pulled them out.
