Reeder Custom Guns - Those in the know

Tell me some real world experience with the Reeder rounds made from the 22 hornet and 357 maximum. Looking at whitetail round.

Both are fine cartridges. Don't underestimate the 250 GNR either. It beats the 255 Banshee and requires no fireforming. Much heavier duty cases too.

I've killed more critters with the 25-20 than can be imagined. The two above cartridges duplicate the ballistics and use the same bullets. You can see the bullet hit thru the scope. Recoil is none existent.

The 307 GNR is probably more versatile. Mines a 12" G2. Easy to form, accurate and bullet section second to none.

in south Texas in July, I took the prototype of the 256 GNR which is the 357 Max necked down to 257. Kase and I were hunting a big hog and I hadn't had a chance to try the 256 GNR out yet. Sean Harper asked me if he could use it on a big hog. It was an 8" revolver that was the prototype of the series. Sean took a monster hog with it and the bullet went completely thru the hog side to side. That was proof enough to me that the 256 GNR was a winner. Since then it has taken whitetail deer at the Celebrity Handgun Hunt in Texas and several sheep at the HHC in Tennessee.

In a contender the banshee would be close to the 256 in a revolver. What bullet was used, if you remember?

255 Banshee, not to be mixed up with the 250 GNR, the 256 GNR, the 257 raptor and the 257 GNR. I was sort of on a 25 caliber kick there for a while.

One pass thru the sizer die and load. Very snappy little thing that's great in a revolver or TC.

A G2 Carbine would be awesome. I'll eventually have one.
