First is our Javelina Classic. This one is chambered in our popular 255 Banshee, a great caliber for varmints or even small bodied deer. It has a heavy 8" barrel and has an 8 round cylinder. It is finished in our satin Vapor Honed Black Chromex with satin stainless small parts and has a set of ivory Corian grips fit to the Gunfighter Grip.It has the interchangeable blade front sight with the gold bead blade. It has had the full Positive Performance Package and is super smooth and accurate. It is also drilled and tapped for the Leupold base. revolver. I have taken a lot of big game with it. Simple to load. Just a 454 case necked down to 44. Out to 60 yards it equals the 454 in punch and beats it past that. Works best with mid range bullets, 250 grains to 300 grains. On big game I use the Sierra 250 grain silhouette bullet. Everything I have pulled the trigger on with that cartridge and that bullet have died right there. It is in serious consideration for the March Africa hunt and Cape Buff.

I am taking a 429 to Africa

Main reason is because it leaves the 454 and 475 behind once you get out there. Using a 280 LFNGC LBT bullet for longer reach, and a 240 XTP for lighter stuff. But I might try that Sierra 250 gr for a one load fits all. Havent tried them yet, but will take Garys word for it.

I mainly use the Sierra 220 and 250 grain silhouette

bullets in my 429 GNR. Just like the Sierra silhouette bullet in 41 caliber, it does a great job, especially on large animals.

larryH, find yourself a good used Redhawk and have Gary build you a 429GNR. You'll never want to be without it.
