an aluminum base on any gun of mine. Way too many downsides to an aluminum base and rings. Just my humble opinion.

No. The only base I install is the Leupold Dual Dovetail

in my opinion, it is the absolute best base made and there is no possible way the rings can come loose during shooting. We use red Lok Tite when we install the base so it is there for good. Actually I use the 2 part epoxy on my guns as I don't change bases and I need to know that base will still be on there next week or next year.
So my best bet is to get the Leupold

Mount and tap one or two new mounting points. Probably only the rear sight mount is the same.

I ordered the Leupold DD mount and rings. I would rather go better when given the option
