job due to liability. Even the revolvers coming out of the Performance Center have a hard trigger pull (in my opinion). Also the 442 is the lightweight hidden hammer model and there is no real hammer inside that hump. It is a small very lightweight piece of metal powered by a heavy hammer spring. The gun needs that heavy hammer spring to be reliable again due to the hammer having no weight of it's own. Probably 90% of the S&W 442s we sell, we get back on trade due to the horrible trigger pull. I hate to rain on your parade but really there is nothing that can be done to lighten up the trigger pull (that I know of) and it still be reliable, and we have tried everything.
