During the Christmas sales. We've discussed several things the last couple days. Loading techniques, bullet selection and other things associated with bottleneck revolvers.
He spent most of the day working the gun out. The groups he shot were incredible. Said hitting his metal target at 137 yards (I think) was easy.
Great accuracy from various bullet diameters was all great.
I wasn't able to buy this gun, but sure glad it ended up in such deserving hands.

Thanks to Huey and Mr.Reeder, I'm the proud owner of the 321 that was on sale. Weather here has been cold and I'm not a fan of being out in it. Spent spare time forming brass after I picked gun up wednesday. Started working loads from data with dies today. Shot from 95 to 120 grain cast and jacketed. From .308 to .312 diameter. Gun shoots everything better than I can shoot when shivering. Was able to get some groups around quarter size inspite of shivering. Hit a metal plate that is about 15"in diameter at 137 yards from rest with ease. I love this gun and round. Thank You Mr.Reeder and Huey. Yall have made an old guy very happy.

Frank B, If you might share some of your loading info I would be very pleased to see it. I ordered a 321 from Gary and am waiting on the revolver but have dies in hand and am trying to figure out a bit of load data. I have on hand from 95 to 120 grain cast. Would like to know what weight you liked best and what shot the best. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Sir, most of the shooting today was at 25 yards with cast and jacketed sized from .308 to .312. I love the dies because they size for a tight neck even on .308 diameter bullets. When I finish will put data from what I do together and send to Mr. Reeder for him to go over. I am using some powders not on the data sheet for plinking/small game loads. Will use a chrony to record velocity of each load. We have about a month left of deer season. I want to work some loads to take small deer with before season ends. I favor the jacketed bullets for this but would like to use both if time permits. Tomorrow if time and weather permits will shoot 50 to 100 yards and narrow down loads. The loads with the dies work great.

Thanks for the info, will start with the loading sheet that came with the dies. Glad you are having good success, looking forward to giving the 321 a workout. Enjoy the rest of your deer season.

I think Frank has succeeded in that goal.
When I first do the case capacity check that gives me an idea of what to expect. I do a little preliminary testing and then Sean does the whole thing, load testing, pressure testing and accuracy testing. If it does not live up to what Sean and I expect I drop the whole idea and deny I ever came up with that cartridge. Sean's testing tells me what the cartridge will do under controlled conditions. Frank has shown me what the cartridge will do in actual field work.

since before Christmas. Minus 4 right now. Shooting indoors gets old real quick. Hopefully the weather will allow you to continue dialing it in.
