Shot the Star PD at 25 yards .. the loads were 230 gr. hardball over 5 gr. Green Dot. Shots were 2-hand hold.

I was showing the Star to someone awhile back and they remarked that the slide needed tightened. It does rattle a little. I prefer it that way. It won't quit running if it gets some lint or dirt or blood or whatever in it. I ain't no gunsmith but I found if the barrel fits the slide well (locking lugs, barrel link and barrel bushing) the old 1911 will shoot pretty accurately. No .. not a bullseye gun .. but I don't want my carry guns so tight they quit working at the slightest provocation. The Star is more accurate than I am just the way it is.
