Gary's reloading manual list the 250 and 255 grain bullets from cast performance for the 410 GNR and the 41 GNR#2. I normally get my cast bullets from Montana Bullet Works it being a small local to me business, but they only list a 240 gr WFN-gc. For those of you who shoot cast mainly, do you think there would be any performance lost going down to the 240 gr vs the 250 gr on elk size critters?

Currently for the 41 GNR # 2 you should be able to use 30-32 grains of H110 or 36-37 Grains of WC680 for a 265-gr bullet. I use the Montana Bullet in mine for the 41 GNR#2 and just limit the load by weight, and watch for pressure signs.

Both bullets should be 1555 to 1603 out of a 8" Wyoming Hunter Barrel, and faster out of a TC or Encore Barrel.

You can also look on www.pennbullets.com, they have the295-grain SSK bullet for the 41-caliber if you want a heaver bullet, and don't cast your own.

I guess I didn't state my question right. The main question was would I see any real difference in performance between a 240gr wfn and a 250gr wfn cast bullet in the 410 and 41#2?

if you need I can cast you some
