in the neck keeps the neck tension as tight as possible. On a lead bullet where it is normally .001 over size, just a very slight case mouth taper but not the whole neck expanded will help hold the bullet in place even under heavy recoil. Not sure how that 250 grain bullet will work out in the 401 GNR but it should do well. I took that African Savannah buffalo with the 410 GNR and the 250 grain hard cast gas check bullet and it broke the front shoulder and went thru both lungs and ended up in the off shoulder. So with the right load it should be fine.
