Reeder Custom Guns - 4" RedHawks

I have a 4.2" Redhawk in 44 mag and one in 45 Long Colt. Will the V-notch & Gold Dot sights you sell work for those barrel lengths? The ones you sell are taller than the 4" sights on my guns.

For what it's worth. I have a redhawk in 44 mag with 5.5" barrel and they work great in it. Basically same height as the factory red ramp.

they have a totally different front sight and as far as I know there is no replacement like ours that will fit your Redhawk. Sorry.

you need to find the height you need. I HATE a gun that shoots low. I can handle one that hits a foot high to POA but not one that shoots low! My pet peeve.

I think I use one for a .454 RH on my "Hunter Model" Bisley .41 GNR. It works within the mechanical limits of the adjustment.

Sorry I did not clarify in the beginning. My new 4.2" Redhawks have the same quick release from sight as my 5.5" or GP100s. The old originals that were 4" I know had pinned front sights.

With that said I am concerned that the gold dots you sell might just be too High. Could a plain rear sight blank be used and I just file in a notch till is works?

then the Redhawk gold bead front sight will fit. Measure the height of the front sight and let me know and I can tell you whether or not our gold bead will work.

I measured. The stock red ramp is 0.390” . The Reeder gold dot sights are 0.435” (possible 0.433”). Will your gold dots work on both the 45 long colt and 44mag redhawks i have? Both are 4.2” barrels
