swivel hole and removed the front band swivel. Puffy worked at a Gunshop in CA and I'm sure they got it in on trade. One scratch on the buttstock but the checkering is clean, blue is good. Trigger and action are typical factory Winchester, to say very mediocre. But it weighs a pound and a half less than a Marlin 1895, don't hit as hard but shoots flatter too. It's a good one to keep around, it has some sentimental value to me.

In my view it's the best 94 they ever put out. You know they modified the frame for Angle Eject and scope mounting, added a tang safety (YUCK) and put out a 7x30, .307, .356, and .444 calibers. They even did a late run of .25-35 and .38-55 (that I'm sure was a .375 bore).
