Is it weird that I can't get used to a scope revolver?

mounted over the barrel feel more in spirit with a "Hunting Handgun" to me. I find the over topstrap position a little awkward until I have begin to get used to it. Any variable scope is going to be larger and add to the unmanageable feel. I really like the 2X fixed scopes for this application. Even after I have become more accustomed to them I find a fixed 4X about all I need.

The etched glass reticle Tasco's are cool and I have a few. Don't pass up a deal on the 1.3X. They are very short and even more useful. Think about your shots, usually inside 100 yds. The scope allows more crisp vision and a more precise, faster, aiming point for distances beyond traditional handgun uses. You can see that shadowy hog bedded in the cedars is just a stump or rock through the scope! Another great scope on the used market I like is the old B&L 2x28, and 4X28mm. I have a 2X on my Super RH .429 that is perfect. My longest kill is a Boar at about 80 yds. (on the 4th shot but that's another story). I poleaxed a cull buck at the Y-O that is a picture in Gary's book. I was hanging out of an open topped Jeep. One foot on the ground the other in the floorboard shooting offhand at about 50-60 yds. Hit it in the spine, but I'll take it. The 2X with a larger objective really gathers light. Simmons made a line of 2 and 4x 32mm that are super values and have transferable lifetime warranty's. Super bargains. Ya can't hit what you can't see. Oh Glory days, some good times with good friends!
