.. I got a Fast Fire and mount with the gun from Gary. It works just fine, but I like the scope better. I think the 2x is the way to go,.. or at least the next step. I keep the 2-6 turned down to 2x. There just a fine point where lining up my eye is cumbersome. It must be that the Contender mounts the scope more forward and gives me some more play in the eye relief at arms length with that scope. I can find center on the scope much faster with the contender. It makes sense that different scopes (whether by brand or specification) would play differently to eye relief. Thanks to you all for talking through the issue a bit.

I ain't discouraged. Worst case, I'll have Gary put a front sight on it.

    - You could also try a red dot sight. (nm) - RA, 2018-02-05, 14:28
